What is Youth Ministry?

Youth Ministry is offered to all of our youth in Grades 5 through 12.

"Youth Ministry is the response of the Christian community to the needs of our young people, and the sharing of their unique gifts with our larger community."

We, as a church, are challenged to:

1) Empower our young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today
2) Draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of our faith community
3) Foster the personal and spiritual growth of each young person

We are called to empower our young people and affirm their faith, gifts, energy, and fresh ideas.

Advertisment for our 7:00pm Mass

Every Sunday night at St. Ursula Church we hold a 7:00pm mass.  This mass is open to everyone, especially families and youth.  We are looking for high school volunteers to assist us with the Sunday Readings, Commentating, Gift Bearers, Ushers, Choir Members, Musical Talent, and Eucharistic Ministers.  Volunteer hours at these masses may be counted towards your 40 hour Service Certificate.

What is Children's Ministry?

Children's Ministry is offered to all our youth in Pre-School to Grade 4.

This ministry helps children build a Christian foundation for future growth in their faith.  They learn about what it means to belong to the Catholic Church through many experiences.  They learn about Catholic Traditions, the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion and the seasons of Advent and Lent in preparation for Christmas and Easter.  Our Sunday Friends Program offered at both parish sites is included in this ministry.
