The Church calls people to the responsible stewardship of their time and talent in support of the Church.  this often takes form of volunteering for a specific ministry, most of which are liturgical, catechetical or involve working in pastoral care or social justice.

Liturgical lay ministries include: lectors/commentators, altar servers, cantors and music ministers, extraordinary ministers of the Holy Eucharist, greeters and ushers.

Catechetical lay ministers can include Sunday School leaders, RCIA team leaders, youth group leaders along with teachers and leaders in sacramental preparation for Baptism, Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Holy Communion.

Other organizations affiliated with the Church can also involve work with charitable activities, pastoral care, outreach and advocacy for social justice.
