WELCOME
There has been much talk of 'loving Jesus but not religion' or being 'spiritual but not religious'. In this Sunday's Gospel from St. Mark, Jesus teaches in the synagogue in Capernaum, and those who hear are 'astounded' because he 'taught them as one having authority," Rather than denying them, Jesus uses his religious practices to draw others into a better understanding and closer relationship to God. With Jesus, it's 'loving God through religion."
