History of St. John Vianney Parish

June 22, 1954:

St. John Vianney Parish is created by Bishop John C. Cody. A chapel is built in St. Cecile School to serve as a temporary church.

June 10, 1956:

The first permanent church is officially dedicated.

June 25, 1965:

The first permanent church is destroyed by fire. Services are held at St. Wilfrid School until the present church is built.

October 21, 1967:

The official dedication of second permanent church is made.

July 4, 2005:

St. John Vianney and Our Lady of Fatima Churches are clustered together.

June 4, 2006:

Our Lady of Fatima closes and merges with St. John Vianney.
