REACH day camps provide families with elementary school aged children a cost effective Catholic camp experience through engaging, fun activities designed to foster friendships and build self confidence. The REACH program ensures that campers engage in activities suitable to their grade level, whether it be sports, the arts, or other small group activities. REACH will be offered at three different locations across the Diocese this summer (see below)

REACHsport day camps provide an opportunity for learning faith based leadership skills through sport while also developing the physical and intellectual sense of self. Campers experience a variety of sports offered throughout the week and gradually learn more advanced skills each day while also being coached by distinguished guest athletes and partaking in the celebration of mass. REACHsport will be offered at two locations across the Diocese this summer (see below).

Strong Catholic Families: Strong Catholic Youth

Building strong families from the ground up: all across North America Church leadership is asking for effective ways to engage parents in the life and mission of the parish as well as seeking ways to help them take ownership as the primary leader of faith within their families. We invite you to consider a dynamic grassroots process designed to reach out to parents in a way that empowers and challenges them to form Strong Catholic Families.

NET Ministries (National Evangelization Team) 2014 – 2015

NET Teams travel the country going from diocese to diocese, church to church, school to school leading day-long Catholic retreats called Encounter Days, Family retreats, weekend retreats, Youth Rallies and Musicians Training. In a culture where many youth are ignorant to or confused about Jesus Christ, NET's Encounter Ministry is powerful because of the simple and straightforward Gospel witness of the team members themselves.  They take the time to get to know and listen to each young person on retreat, sharing the reality of God's love and His mercy.

Since 2009 we have expanded NET Ministries within the Diocese from one week to five weeks.
NET will be welcomed back for up to six weeks in 2014 – 2015. Availability is established by the NET National Office and will be promoted via Parish Briefings in May. At that time parishes and schools will be invited to submit their preferred dates. Demand for NET retreats has grown to a point where there are now more requests than Team availability. When requesting dates this coming spring please note that the DLYMO will invite each parish or school to request a maximum of two dates for the year. Those parishes which have not received a team in the last year or did not receive their preferred dates will be given priority in the 2014-2015 schedule. Occasionally the NET National Office makes dates available outside of their scheduled visits. When this happens the NET Teams are offered to communities on the waiting list. (Costs are between $550 and $750 depending upon numbers of participants).

Below are a few of the many quotes from youth who have experienced a NET Ministries retreat:

"Believing is one thing, but knowing and seeing is another. I believe that the NET team showed me the best possible description of Christ and Christianity. The faith everyone on the team has is amazing to see and it has inspired me to believe in God more." - Gr 8 student

"Now I can go home and be the daughter of God that I know I am. Loved and cherished. Thank you, NET!" - Gr 12 student

“I think the entire retreat was really fun. I really liked the leaders, they were all really nice and fun and relatable. The games were fun and exciting too. This entire retreat made me realize that what I was missing in my life is God! I honestly want to have a closer relationship with Him, and fill what is empty in my life with Him. Thank you!” - Gr 11 student
